Help us empower healthcare — and people
At Imres, our mission is simple but powerful: to provide global access to high-quality medicines and medical products, especially in low- and middle-income countries. Since 1980, we’ve been a purpose-driven enterprise, proud to operate with heart, integrity, and an international mindset.
We’re growing—and we’re looking for a People Operations & Payroll Specialist to help ensure our people operations run smoothly and compliantly. In this role, you’ll support our teams with reliable payroll processing and seamless HR administration. If you love details, enjoy helping people, and believe in the power of great service, this role could be a perfect fit.
What you'll do
This is a hands-on position where accuracy, discretion, and reliability are key. You'll work closely with colleagues from our People & Culture and Finance teams to provide an excellent employee experience from behind the scenes. Your key responsibilities will include:
Payroll & Administration
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing in partnership with our external payroll provider.
• Manage all personnel changes, including new hires, departures, salary updates, sickness, and leave administration.
• Keep HR systems up to date and ensure employee records are complete and confidential.
• Maintain contact with relevant third parties and authorities related to payroll.
Communication & Support
• Act as the first point of contact for employees with questions about salary, HR processes, and terms of employment.
• Provide guidance in line with Dutch legislation and internal policies.
• Communicate clearly with both individuals and teams—always with empathy and a solutions-focused mindset.
Data & Process Optimisation
• Contribute to improving administrative workflows for greater efficiency.
• Use data to generate insights and reports on topics such as absenteeism, pay, and staffing.
• Share your ideas for process and system improvements
What you bring
• 3–5 years’ experience in a hands-on HR operations or payroll role.
• Experience with NMBRS payroll software.
• Good knowledge of Dutch labour laws and payroll administration.
• Strong organisational skills: you can manage deadlines and prioritise effectively.
• A service-oriented mindset—you’re approachable, discreet, and solution-driven.
• Fluent in English (our working language) and Dutch.
What we offer
At Imres, we don’t just support communities around the world—we support each other. As part of the global DP World network, you’ll join a diverse and growing team of 150+ colleagues in the Netherlands, India, and Dubai. Here's what you can expect:
• A supportive, people-first culture where everyone can thrive.
• Ongoing learning and development through online tools and regular feedback.
• Semi-annual performance reviews for personal and career growth.
• A mix of formal and informal team events, from daily stand-ups to all-company gatherings.
• A hybrid “office-first” policy (minimum 3 days/week on-site).
• A truly international workplace where English is the common language.
Please note: A VOG (certificate of conduct) is required for this role.
