2010.10.02 - IMRES receives USAID approval
Following the recent SCMS and OFDA inspections, we are very proud to report that IMRES has been added to the approved wholesaler list for USAID and OFDA programs.
''IMRES has assured USAID that all pharmaceuticals and medical commodities sold by or through IMRES are manufactured to meet or exceed internationally accepted Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and are procured, stored and distributed following internationally accepted Good Distribution Practices (GDPs).''
This approval will allow us to extend our services in providing healthcare to the developing world even further, engaging in new projects and responding to emergency situations on a larger scale.

USAID (United States Agency for International Development) is the principal U.S. agency to extend assistance to countries recovering from disaster, trying to escape poverty, and engaging in democratic reforms.
OFDA (Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance) is the office within USAID responsible for facilitating and coordinating U.S. Government emergency assistance overseas. As part of USAID’s Bureau for Democracy, Conflict, and Humanitarian Assistance (DCHA), OFDA provides humanitarian assistance to save lives, alleviate human suffering, and reduce the social and economic impact of humanitarian emergencies worldwide, responding to all types of natural disasters, including earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, cyclones, floods, droughts, fires, pest infestations, and disease outbreaks or catastrophes such as civil conflict, acts of terrorism, or industrial accidents.
SCMS (Supply Chain Management System) is a project contracted by the US Government through USAID primarily to provide supply chain services and support programs within PEPFAR, procuring for US Goverment supported HIV/AIDS projects and similar projects funded by organizations such as the Global Fund to fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
